When my heart wanders,

And ingratitude seems to cloud my mind.

Help me to reminisce about the countless breakthroughs.

When my heart forgets the past,

Bring to remembrance every detail of your faithfulness that I may encourage myself.

Not only encourage myself, but be content in the progress I’ve made by your grace.

Take the scales off my heart

That I might see that the victories are greater than my defeat.

Let me be reassured that you’re for and not against me.

My desire is to be in love again!

My heart has been through processes of aches and hurts

And I desire to love again!

Not in love with my success, wealth, fame, or applause.

Not even in love with a man

But with the creator of man!

My desire is to be his bride

And for him to be my bridegroom

To feast and dine with him

And let my soul intertwine with his.

Longing for a deep connection

That goes beyond the surface is my desire.

I long for a more intimate relationship
